I know. the site is busy
"try to download outside peak times (peak times are between 6pm-11pm evenings and during the weekend) if you want to improve the speed of your download. "
I will try before i go to work tomorrow around 4.30AM -
Just tried it and it went to a dead page
"connection to server couldn't be established" -
Why would a website be giving away another company's software? Is this legit? I think this is probably just their way of getting your e-mail address.
What are the advantages of the payware AVG over AVG free? You'll eventually have to buy a new license to use the software. -

The free version doesn't have the email scanner built-in like the Pro version does.
I don't use full suites to scan for spyware/malware. I use spybot and defender for that. i just miss the email scanner that I had with PC-cillin. -
I use the free one on two computers, and it scans e-mail in Outlook.

I was thinking the Pro version has the anti-spam, but it doesn't -
Good news: The link worked for me just now!
Bad news: WTF? Download speed is dreadfully slow like i'm back on dial-up. Its going at about 6kbs a second, and the file is 37MBs!
So i guess i'll get back to you guys in a few days when it finally finishes
Edit: Ok it sped up a bit later and just finished. 37MB. Installed it and it appears to be the "Full" version, I don't know how different it is from the free one though. -
Just curious, will this have to be re-liscensed in a year? If so, then I'll probably stick with the free one.
