Hi i'd like to make a ts. folder so i can burn my avi to dvd and have it play on lap top and on a tv -
i am usuing ffmpegx
in the to section there are lots of options of formats, though none saying ts.
there are 3 dvd format options
dvdlo
dvdmpeg2enc
dvdffmpeg
there is also mpeg ts - which i ve already tried and ended up witha file with a vlc symbol on it, so I guess that no good.
any advice - its for a christmas present and yep! i left it right to the last minute![]()

dvdlo = DVD preset for reduced (low) resolution
dvdmpeg2enc = DVD preset using the mpeg2enc engine
dvdffmpeg = DVD preset using the ffmpeg engine
mpeg ts = transport stream (like broadcast), not for DVD.
Without knowing more about the AVI, I would suggest using the dvdmpeg2enc preset as best allround choice.
