hello,
i have a standard bush tv, and whenever i try to play a dvd on it there is always a red blur at the bottom and top of the picture. this happens regardless on the type of disc or whether it be an original or a copied disc.
this occurred on my previous dvd player and happens now after purchasing a new dvd player.
i think the tv is fine because when i watch normal tv analogue or digital the picture appears fine.
any help, suggestions would be much appreciated.
thank you.

If so, it might be a problem with the cable, try changing that for a fully screened one. Does changing the DVD player output between S-Video, composite and RGB have any effect? Does the TV have more than one SCART socket, does it happen if you use the other socket?
Maybe it is time for a new TV, Bush is at the bottom of the tree when it comes to quality and you may have found a limitation. You do get what you pay for.... -
Thanks Richard_G for your suggestion.
my TV only has one scart socket and i have two devices i needed to connect to it, a sky box and a dvd player. so i connected the sky box to the tv and then the dvd player onto the sky box as that had a scart socket. But by doing this it caused the redness.
so i made a direct connection between dvd player and tv and it worked fine.
however now whenever i want to watch a dvd i have start swapping cables and stuff!
i think its time to invest in a new TV.
