I'm using AVI2DVD for the first time, creating and image file from an avi file. I've burned that image file. Everything is working well, except that when the menu first pops up (playback with a stand-alone DVD player), the background sound I selected, which is a 3 minute song from the film, that background sound plays for literally one second, and then cuts off. (This is the sound, or audio, that is supposed to play as long as the main menu is up.) As I've said, the disk functions just as I want other than that.

    Any suggestions?

I'm surprised AVI2DVD is even capable of menu audio at all!
How long is your menu video? My guess is 3 seconds. Menu audio means motion menu background (even if it can be the same image in all frames to appear as a still menu background), and these have to match (in length).

    Thanks for the response.

On the DVD Menu Creator window within AVI2DVD, the user has the opportunity to select a) a Background Image, and b) a Background Sound.

The Background Image is just that: an image. In my case, a .bmp file (a still image, obviously.)
The Background Sound has to be in .mp2 format. In my case, as I said, a roughly 3 minute snippet of music.

Possibly a bug in AVI2DVD then, I'd say. It ought to render the menu bg image to a video of equal length to the audio you supply IMO.
