  1. Ok this is what ive done so far. I was trying different methods of converting my rippedblu ray movie. this is what ive done

    1) Tsremux (selected the main video stream and the pcm lossless audio)and remuxed together

    2) Used Elecard converter studio (this seemed to be the only app that recognized my m2ts file(tmpg nor nero would recognize it)

it took elecard conv., stud., around 5 hours to transcode/encode. When i play the converted video in nero showtime it plays with great quality except for 2 things

    1) nero says the total play time of the video is 1hour 50 minutes. the video is actually 3 hours almost but it plays the whole video past this time index

    2) i have no sound. When i opened up elecard and inported the clip it say both the video and audio but for some reason couldnt encode it.

Anyone using tsremux can you tell me how you are handling the audio? How does tsremux handle the audio? What extensions can i use?

ps After i did the conversion i opened up elecard Converter studio and pointed it to the origanal files that i ripped. It saw the video and the different audio streams but it still thinks its only 1hour and 50 minutes even thought it will play the whole movie and i still cant hear any audio

Use TSSplitter to join your m2ts files. Demux the audio using TSRemux to an ec3 extension and run it through eac3to to encode it to AC3 (if demuxing TrueHD or EAC3). If demuxing DTS tracks, I had success using foobar2000.

If you insist on using Elecard, you will probably be encoding video only and then muxing in the audio later using YAMB or some other muxer (maybe ECS has one built-in...never used it).

I use meGUI myself. TSRemux to give me audio/video streams (I keep AC3 or DTS track...TrueHD, DD+, etc. isn't worth it since I'm encoding it anyway). TSSplitter to join separate TS streams (if any). Index using meGUI if MPEG2 video (DGMPGDec will give index file and demux audio track) or DGAVCDec separately for AVC (VC-1 may require graphedit).

Load the D2V (DGMPGDec) or AVS (DGAVCDec) in the AVS creator and choose your settings for the encode. There are guides available from that point.

It may sound complicated, but it's really not that bad after you do a couple. I typically have my video encoding after about 15-20 minutes (this includes the time it takes to do all the demuxing/remuxing). My Q6600@3.2GHz takes about 2-2.5 hours to get a 1080P 2 hour movie down to 800x336@1000Kbps w 5.1 AAC at 192Kbps on 2-pass with very intensive settings.

  3. Hey thanks for the reply. I gonna try it the way you do. One question the audio in my files are marked
dolby digital, lossless pcm, and true hd. When i use tsremux and seperate the streams your saying use the eac3 extension regardless?

  5. As long as it's not a DTS track eac3to should work with the audio as long as it has a supported extension (ec3 being one of them). Also keep in mind that eac3to requires the Nero HD-DVD/Blu-Ray plugin (or Sonic's plugin) in order to work. DTS encoding has additional requirements.

As far as meGUI giving that kind of error, make sure you have the prerequisite .NET version and AVISynth installed. You may also want to try and update meGUI. Finally, make sure you have the necessary tools installed (check under the options menu for program paths to see what you may need).

  8. You're probably working with an m2ts that has AVC video. You'll need to get DGAVCDec to index and get an AVS.
