I'm very new at all of this and I'm still having a lot of problems but thanks to this great site I'm actually making a lot of progress.

My question is can you edit a movie captured from a video camera using Virtual Dub & Huffy codec before it is converted using TPMGENC.

I want to add music, transitions and cut. I have tried using Easycd creator 5 Video impressions but it will only work once the clip is converted using tpmgenc which is ok but it looses quality once I save it because I think it re-converts if that makes any since.

I want to burn the finished product in VCD EASY because it works. It is the only software I have burnt a cd with so far that has produced a Cd that will work in my VCD Stand Alone Player.

Can any one suggest an editing program that will work with the applications I am using and has the editing features I am after?

  2. You can download MovieXone from AIST. The software is free and it's basically a light version of their commercial products.

You can cut, edit, transform etc. etc. etc.

Render the edited video as DV .avi and then use TMPEG to convert the movie into VCD or SVCD etc.

    Download under www.aist.com

    Cheers
