  1. Anyone know what the longest running minidv battery is? Do they make any that last around 15 hours without turning your camera off.

    i have one that lasts 6 hours of record time for a sony. it's huge, sticks way off the back, and weighs almost as much as the cam. 15 may be pushing it.

  3. Depends on your make/model + what you do with it. If you use it in manual mode and don't zoom much you'll get more time than if you autofocus, zoom all the time etc.

    You can get belts for multiple batteries that can hook up as one large one. That's the only way you'll get the time you need. Why not have multiple batteries and change them at the same time you change the tape? After all, you can't get a 15 hour tape!

  4. You know what you are right. Someone mentioned to me that you could record 15 hours of footage on a 1 gig memory card. No way, a minidv can eat up a gig in a few minutes.
