    I have been searching the forum here and haven't found the specific info
    for the mencoder command line to allow for 2-pass encoding. I'm converting to FLV

    Really appreciate any help or suggestions ponting me in the right direction
    I realize this an ffmpeg forum but there seems to be some discussion on mencoder
    so if I'm not in the right forum please let me know

    The ffmpegX forum is for the Mac OS X GUI app "ffmpegX", driving ffmpeg, mencoder, and a load of other CLI tools.

    In the current implementation of ffmpegX, it will only convert to FLV via the built-in ffmpeg engine, not via the also available mencoder engine.

    Sorry, no idea which forum is better suited for your needs.
