I have a set of video clips I'd like to encode into the appropriate size for my LCD TV, using SUPER Encoder. This will be an NTSC-format disc, therefore, I'm assuming the screen resolution should be 720x480.
I've tried encoding to several formats - including AVI, VOB and MPG, and I got the same result. (Except I don't get any volume in which the audio codec is AAC.)
Now, here's the problem I'm experiencing:
1) An image (such as the Chapter menu) of 720x480 fills the screen vertically as it should.
2) A video clip of 720x480 don't fill the vertical space...it leaves about a 3/4" space on top and bottom.
3) A video clip with a height of 576 fills the vertical space and doesn't go over.
Are there any other factors during the encoding process which could prevent the 720x480 output from filling properly? Isn't 720x480, by default, supposed to fill the vertical space?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!![]()

No - it encodes in 4:3 or 3:2 - which both appear to be the same. My TV is 16:9, roughly, and it gets the horizontal correct, but not the vertical.
