    Couple of issues:

    1) This morning I am trying to make a DVD from a couple of video files and it is taking FOREVER to crunch them - 2 x 800mb each and after an hour its done 3% of the first one - the FPS says "1". Starts out at 26fps then falls through the floor after 10 seconds.

Not the usual performance at all - in fact I did another just before this one and it took the usual 45 mins or so just the same as all the others I have done.

Was using an earlier version of 2.5 (under XP) but have just downloaded the latest 2.5 (reg version) - no difference!

BTW the files play just fine on the PC, my Buffalo Link Theater and also in SVCD2DVD itself, so its not a broken file...

    Any ideas guys?

    2) Sound! I think it started with 2.5... I make DVD's of stuff for my friend who's DVD player doesn't downmix properly and doesn't have a 5.1 setup. Now, the software used to give me dvd's which worked well, but now... dunno what has changed!

I currently sort of resolve the issue with the convert to mp3 and uncheck the "leave AC3 alone" box but its still not as good as the program used to be.

Aha! Did a search on here and found where the log files hang out - have only ever posted up the crash/debug stuff on here before, but this isn't a crash

Anyway, here you go, only the filenames have been changed to protect the innocent

I think the issue is downmixing from 6 to 2 channels.

I will do some tests at this end.

    Which issue Chris?

The slow FPS or the ongoing sound problem?
