I just bought this SATA Lite-ON LH-20A1L firmware BL05 about 2 months ago. Here is my problem. Using the latest IMGBURN it stopped burning. It can read discs with no problem, it can play discs with no problem, BUT cannot burn them. I went to device manager and deleted it. When it came up tried again, still same problem. Any recommendations. I have as myh OS Windows Vista 64 bit. Thanks all

what's the sata controller chipset on your motherboard? intel sata chipset controllers work best with SATA DVD burners. if you're running a raid system the drive will not work correctly. disable raid in mobo bios. or if you are running a raid system then you'll have to buy a SATA PCI CONTROLLER card w/the SILICON IMAGE 3112 chipset to run your SATA LITEON dvd burner correctly. If all that fails then the drive is just defective and ask for a warranty replacement.

Ummmm....you don't get it do you.
there could be nothing wrong with your SATA dvd burner. SATA dvd burners do not work correctly if you have RAID enabled on your motherboard. They were not made to work w/RAID. This has been noted at CDFREAKS.COM when it comes to SATA DVD BURNERS. :P
