So, I just got 2 more gigs of RAM to add to my setup for a total of 4 GB, ok? Checked system properties, and Windows is only recognizing 3.25 gigs. Hmm...

Updated BIOS, and that didn't solve the issue. BIOS recognizes all four 1 gig sticks, so I didn't fry them (anti-static strap FTW).

Checked around Microsuck's site for assistance, and couldn't find help for the issue in XP home. So, I'm irritated and would like some help. Which is where you come in.

    Specs:

    XP Home SP2 (64-bit)
    Gigabyte GA-965GM-S2 motherboard
    Kingston 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) [the new RAM]
    Kingston ValueRAM 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 533 (PC2 4200) [old RAM, 2 sticks of this]

Windows Update says I'm up to date on drivers, so I don't know what else I could do except mess with BIOS, and that might get messy. If I can't get a solution, I'll take the PC to my computer store (hurray for 1 year warranties).

Funny thing is, I did search before posting. Must not have used the right keyword. Thanks for the link, anyway.
