Hi,
I'm having a strange sync problem making my own movie and burn it to DVD. Audio and Video are out of sync in my normal DVD player (the one connected to my TV set). When I play the DVD in my PC, it is in sync.
The original move is ripped to AVI DV from the DVD of a DVD camera using Pinnacle Trex v1.5.0. I've edited the movie using Windows movie maker v2.1.
I wrote the movie to a .wmv file. After that, I created DVD files on my harddisk (AUDIO_TS empty, VIDEO_TS\*.BUP, *.IFO *.BUP) using WINAVI9.0. After that, I burned the files on DVD. I tried both WINAVI9.0 and Intervideo WINDVD Creator v2.0 for burning. Same results. In WINDVD creator, I tried both MP2 and AC3 audio encoding. I even tried two different DVD writers.
In all cases:
When playing the VIDEO_TS.IFO from harddisk, it's in sync.
When playing the DVD on my PC, it's in sync
When playing the DVD on my regular DVD player, it is out of sync.
What can be the reason for this?
How can i solve it?
Can it have anything to do with the MPEG codec I use (how do I check which one is used? How do I change this?)
Please help!
Thanx,
Perjan
