For some reason whenever I play files on my computer with either windows media player or powerdvd, every so often it likes to display them with messed up coloring. It's always a mix of red and black, and thats it, so then i have to close the video and re-open it, until it works with the proper colors.
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening and how to fix it?

Its called "update"
Referring to your gpu drivers (graphics processing unit = video chipset) , and while your doing that , update the rest .
Try again after .
It may also be possible with later series gpu's that you may find an earlier release of the gpu drivers run better than the latest . -
