curious about the following:
What program do you use to import the video in Windows,
What kind of file names do you get for the imported clips,
What program and codec do you use to compress the final video /Can VirtualDub MPEG work with the raw files?
Thanks!

HDVSplit
mt2
I don't know if virtualdubmpeg2 support those. -
I mostly use Vegas (v6d, v8) but have used HDVSplit and CapDVHS. Both worked. I've yet to try Vista's Windows Movie Maker which is supposed to support HDV.
