I am building a project that includes four movies created with videostudio11+, with a Title Menu which links to four SubMenus. All of the menus are switched menus. I had planned to use each of the four submenus to allow the viewer to either play the entire movie or play only that one chapter and return to the submenu. I believe that the add scene selection menu "wizard", can create this but I have assumed that the result is, much like retail DVDs, when a scene is selected and plays, play continues with the next scene, unlike my requirements.

I chose to do this by linking one button object to the movie and the other button objects to chapter playlists, each with one chapter listed. This appears to work but is there a better/cleaner way to do this? All of the chapter playlists appear as titles on the finished DVD, is this an inappropriate DVD structure. Would it be better or would there be an advantage, to set up the title menu as a VMG that links to four VTSs?

    Thanks for any feedback.

Each chapter playlist is, as far as the structure is concerned, a separate title. This allows it to be treated as such when creating menus etc. It is the only sane way to do what you are trying to do.

Prior to playlist support, you would create a structure like this by duplicating the video, cutting it up into chapter sized clips, and having each of these as a title. This requires twice as much disc space.

It can look messy if you have a lot of playlists, but this is how it's done.
