    Hi, I have just bought a samsung camcorder vpmx10 for my son as a christmas present. Apparently it records in mpeg4 and I am told window movie maker cannot edit this ?.

    If so is there any programme you could recommend for editing mpeg4.

    Is it a mp4 or mov file? Then try convert it with mp4camtoavi and then try import the avi in windows movie maker.

    Or is it avi file with mpeg4 video?

    Got this from the spec, hope this helps you. As you have probably guessed I am a total novice.

    Video Recording Format: MPEG4 ASP
    PC Decorder and PC Encorder
    SDHC/MMC+ Memory Card Slot
    Movie Clip Recording
    Memory card SDHC/MMC+
    Motion picture streaming format = MJPEG
    Motion picture streaming resolution = QVGA

    When uploading from SD card or USB is there a difference in format ?.
    Would it be much easier to have a programme that will edit MPEG4 ?.
