When I use this program it converts to DVD fine, but the DVD won't play on my computer.

    Is this typical?

  2. It would help if you provided a little more information...

What won't play on the computer?

Do you mean the burnt DVD or the VIDEO_TS folder?

Did you use convertx to burn or some other application?

What software DVD player are you using?

    Sorry..

I will burn to DVD using ConvertXtoDVD on a DVD-/+ R and it will read on DVD players, but not on my Computer.

What can I do to fix this?

  4. So you are saying the DVD works fine with standalone DVD players, but not on your PC?

What software DVD player are you using? Can you right-click and explore on the DVD drive with the DVD inside? Do other DVD's work? Has this happened before?

No it hasn't happened before. I usually use Media Player, if I right click it comes up with the Audio and Video TS Folders, but if I play a Video TS it has sound only.

    Thanks

    Media Player = ?

Media Player Classic plays DVDs out of the box

Windows Media Player cannot play DVDs unless a software DVD player has been installed, or you have sourced appropriate codecs. If you have tried to install codecs by using a codec pack then you may get unexpected results.
