I am a DJ and the club I have been playing at has a karoke software on their computer. I want to play music videos but all I get is a windows wallpaper on the tv. I have no icons. The dual monitor is set up in the display settings but I don't know how to get either windows media player or winamp to play on the tv. The karaoke software doesn't appear to have the capability of playing MPEG's, but it works on the tv. What do I have to do? Is there a plug-in that I need or is it just a setting change or what?
Thank You,
Bobbi

The solution to your problem will depend on what graphics card you have, how you're wired up, and the driver version.
What graphics card do you have?
Does it support dual monitors or only a single monitor and an s-video output?
Are you using two DVI/VGA monitors/TVs or are you using one DVI/VGA monitor and a TV via s-video or composite cable? -
The graphics card supports a dual monitor, ithe tv is connected with tv cable, and actually there are several tv's connected to a box and the box is connected to the computer. If I make the tv the primary monitor I have desktop icons on the tv screen but then I can't use the computer monitor. Does this answer your question?

Dual monitor does not necessarily mean video output. It might mean two computer displays.

Just open Media Player and then Drag and Drop it to the other monitor (with your mouse)
There you can go fullsreen (Alt + enter)
Everything that you drag and drop to the new monitor (or TV) will stay there as long as Power is on and second monitor activated.
As you cann see the Wallpaper: output is correct and connected. -
The same way you drag and drop any other window. Grab the title bar and drag the window to the other monitor.
-
As you drag and drop all files...
Open Media Player, locate mouse cursor over it, press down the left mousebutton, hold it while moving Media player to the other monitor. Once there: release the mouse button.
Okay?
Preview on TV: it´s better to leave TV screen at 800x600 - looks better
