Hi!
Im having a problem with interlacing, atleast thats my guess. Rendered video looks wavy when there is motion. The problem is that Im having some videos, that Im editing in Vegas and encoding to Mainconcept mpg's for DVD Architect.
Input files are vob's: progressive scan, alpha=none (dont know what the alfa thing is all about).
So Im having a Pal TV as my final display, and what I read out from forum it must be interlaced. So thats what I was doing already (lower field first, deinterlacing: none) and after rendering, on computer screen motion looks smooth, but as a readymade dvd on my TV it looks wavy like this image below, when there is some quick motion, otherwise not (I found it from the forum, I hope noone minds if I use that as an example...) Maybe a little smaller waves though, but not as interlaced video on progressive screen.
What to do to fix that? Thank you for any kind help.

	Hi,
I believe in this case you'd better input the original in avi form into the softmare then compress the edition by indeo video 5-10 without interlacing . then watch the result in avi first.

Do this then we discuss more.

Problem is that I dont have the original. What I have is already converted files from avi to vob, progressive scan.

I tried to render both interlaced and progressive scan clips from that material, but both show the same type of lines (actually my lines are similar to progressive scan lines on computer screen, but more thick and with gaps. Lines on the photo are simply shifted).

But it cannot also be "burned in" lines, cause what happens is that after rendering those clips as interlaced, lower field first, they look fine on computer screen, but not on PaL TV. Thatswhy Im confused.
