Unlock a Kenmark 'Todays Girl' TV/DVD combo?

Hi All,
I have had a search around the forums and google but cannot see an answer to this so wondered if anyone here could help.

Basically I have brough 2 x Kenmark 'Todays Girl' TV/DVD combo units for the kids for xmas - trouble is they are locked to Region 4 and I have a ton of discs the kids brought with them from the UK which are Region 2.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to make these units region free and if so how?

Model: KMP1480P/KMP1480P2 34CM TV/DVD COMBO SET

Combo units are more fun

Try google...
If all else fails you can always rip the disc's, back them up & let them use those.
It will effectively remove the region coding.
