Your questions are a bit confusing, but taking the first part as meaning you want to output from the laptop to a VCR recorder? You would use composite video from your laptop unless your VCR has a S-video input. Some S-video laptops output composite from that connector. The audio would come from the laptop audio line out.

If on the other hand, you want to output the laptop S-video to the TV, then you need to set that up in the 'Display' settings of the laptop as a second monitor. And make sure that the S-video input is selected on the TV.

Or third possibility, are you running the VCR output through the laptop to the TV?

You would have to give a bit more detail, otherwise we are just guessing.

    And welcome to our forums.

My VCR does have the S-Video input. I'm also confusing myself haha, but anyways, I have the laptop screen on the TV and the S-Video is connected in the input of the TV right and also the output of the laptop that all I did. So... how do i connected the VCR to record? do i just take off the S video input of the TV and hook it on to the VCR? and thanks for the welcome! =]

Just take the s-video output from the laptop and hook it on to the VCR input.
Then VCR output to tv input.
