    Hey guys,
I would say that Adobe Encore has really big MINUS, and it really make me sick, when we talk about transitions between separate video clips, or just say timelines. Because in this DVD authoring program there are no possibilities to do that. Funny but that is true. Maybe you would say me that, this job can do Adobe Premiere! Yes you right, but excuse me, another program just to do simple transitions between video clips ??! That really ridiculous.. Of course encore is superb when we talk about creating of menus and other popular stuff, but transitions between separate video clips in that program is like mission impossible..
So, maybe you know how to do that in Adobe Encore ? please let us know how..

    Thanks

Transitions are not the job of an authoring program. Authoring programs assemble compliant assets into a finished DVD structure. You add transitions in premiere before you import it into Encore (or any authoring tool)

If you want a simple solution, use Womble Mpeg Wizard to edit and add transitions. At least it won't re-encode the entire file, just where the transitions have been added. Then import into Encore.

Don't blame the tool for your poor work habits.

  3. gunsl1nger is spot on in his response. Trasnsitions and effects are supposed to be done when you're editing the original video. The sole responsibility of an authoring program is to take video in compliant format and arrange it in a proper structure to be read by a DVD player. The authoring program has no other obligations.

don't blame your authoring program because you don't know the correct workflow for completing a video project.
