Has anyone experienced burning issues using The MAD DOG, Nero 6, and these discs.... The 8x version of the blanks
were TOTALLY reliable, no pblms whatsoever, but these 16X's give me the following:
    1.Illegal Disc
    2. Cannot perform Disc at once
    3. Failed to burn at 4x ( or whatever speed)
I Have the latest firmware... I do not see any updates on the MAD Dog site.
I am wondering if MAD DOG will tackle this, as I feel it is a burner issue. I have another PC with a Sony burner and no problem.
If anybody know of a fix I would appreciate it.tks

try one using imgburn. if it fails then it's probably a drive issue and won't be resolved without a firmware update.

UME media provides mixed results based on what brand of burner is being used.

The media gurus will generally find it to be "crap media".

Maddog does not make DVDwriters itself and has relabeled many low cost DVDwriters with its name. Their choices are not usually tolerant of low quality media.

You can attempt to find out what the maker and model of your burner really is and flash with the original equipment manufacturer's firmware in the hope that it has a better write strategy for the media.

You can try another brand of media - TY and Verbatim work even on many crappy drives.. You can trash the drive.
