    How can you normalize ac3 audio? I've recently came across some divx clips but the sound is so low you can barely hear it with the speakers cranked wide open.

    If you are playing on your computer/htpc then use ac3filter as ac3 decoder and boost the volume in the config->gain.

    You could also demux it and adjust the level of the audio. AC3Machine a frontend for BeSweet has an Auto Find Maximum Gain switch. It also has a manual gain db setting. Good luck.
