  1. * sigh * Okay, I'm trying to make an MV for the second Death Note movie,
but the files are downloaded from Veoh and are .flv files. Now, I've spent three hours downloading
numerous flv converters—that never work. I'm SO frustrated that I could scream right now.
There are three parts the movie is in, each 46-48 minutes long each. Some of the converters DO work—
but only work enough to get six minutes of the movie or about 2 minutes of it. Does anyone know a GOOD, free FLV converter that actually works for converting files to .avi files that are around 45-48 minutes each? I would very muchly appreciate it if anyone could tell me...( And also one that does not have watermarks...)

I use SUPER to convert flv's. Works well, & very fast, too. Make sure you read the forum posts about SUPER as well as the reviews in the Tool section....it's a great, free program, but it wants access to the internet & your local network. I don't allow it access to either, & it still works fine.

  3. Tools needed to understand your .FLV source file:

    GSpot
    https://www.videohelp.com/tools?toolsearch=gspot&Submit=Search ... rfeatures=

    MediaInfo
    https://www.videohelp.com/tools/MediaInfo

    Conversion software:

    ALLtoAVI
    https://www.videohelp.com/tools?toolsearch=alltoavi&Submit=Sea ... rfeatures=

You will need to play with the VIDEO BITRATE or QUANTIZER in ALLtoAVI to get the quality you want. This is where GSpot and MediaInfo come into play as you compare the source file specs against the destination .AVI file.
