  1. i have a wmv file which is in HD(talk about an oxymoron) which uses the wvc1 codec, is there a way to convert this to a .VOB file?....i have VPC which i'm sure i'll need as i don't think that codec is available for OS X

    VLC should be able to play it. http://wiki.videolan.org/VLC_Features_Formats

    But on a Mac, you can't load Windows dll's so some may not. Playing video in VPC doesn't work well.

    VLC will do basic but sometimes effective transcoding to mpg and other formats, so if VLC will play it it might also be able to convert it into something more Mac friendly.
    Go off and rule the universe from beyond the grave. Or check into a psycho ward, whichever comes first, eh?
