I have a concert in DVD-format on my hard drive that was recorded from a satellite broadcast by a friend of mine.
But whenever I try to burn it with Nero or open it with other authoring programs I get an error regarding the IFO file.
I can watch the VOBs just fine with PowerDVD or VLC but how do I fix that IFO so I can burn it as a normal DVD?

It depends what is wrong with it.
Also, don't burn with authoring tools. Try Imgburn instead.
Simplest test is to delete the IFO, and copy the BUP file with the same name, changing the extension from BUP to IFO. If this still fails, copy the VOBs to another folder, then use IFOEdit to create new IFO files.Read my blog here.
