  1. I have been making mpeg-2 movies with Tmpgenc 2.0, 2.5 and 2.51, but i get the same results, i cant go forward or backward in the video (file played back with various softwares and a stand alone dvd player), i tried changing configurations ( all of the available, but nothin) and video sources (3 avi uncompressed videos), then i switched to mpeg-1 and no problems. I want to use mpeg-2 cause it looks better with my Apex660.

    Thanks for any help.

    My e-mail is omarmty736514@yahoo.com

Also, the video plays fine without pressing any button using windows media player, and when the video ends it doesnt go back to the beggining and when i press the stop button a message appears (not implemented)

    thanks again!

And if you like DARIA from MTV go to this webpage www.outpost-daria.com and support her release on DVD if you like.

  2. Well, I had exactly the same problem up to a few days ago. I have changed my CDR/W for a faster model (was a HP 9100i and now is a Samsung SW-224B), and now I can use 2x to 16x forward or backward on my table DVD! So, this has something to do with the Cd Writer, I guess.

  5. I suspect you are trying to make SVCDs?

In that case, the most likely problems:

    1. Not enough sequence headers. Make sure your encoder is set to put a sequence header on every GOP.

    2. You are using TMPGEnc to multiplex. Older versions of TMPGEnc did not generate scan offsets for SVCD streams correctly, which are important to FF and RW. I don't know if it has been fixed, but assuming it hasn't, you will need to use bbMPEG to multiplex your SVCD.
