Hello, i have a dual monitor video card, and was wondering if the motherboard had to have support for it. the video card plugs into the agp slot. my motherboard is a intel 850gb. the computer system is gateway. i assume that you don't have to use the same style monitor on both video ports, but i may be wrong. i did install the card and windows did detect it, and then i installed a current driver for the card. it did display with just one monitor connected to it, then i shut down the computer and connected the other monitor i was going to use, and the computer did a quick beep and then 2 short beeps, and neither of the monitors displayed anything. so i guess my question is, does the motherboard have to be compatible, and why did it work at first with one monitor and then fail with two monitors? thanks in advance.
p.s. the card is a matrox matrix mellenium g450 dualhead.
