Specifically their A-HD and Go-HD models. Anyone here have experience with either model? I am considering them for an upcoming vacation.

If you search in the news section you might find something Consider you're going to need some very expensive cards for that and/or take a computer with you. They have the 8GB listed at $74.99, probably close to normal retail. not a lot of space and ceratainly not cheap if you want to buy two.
If I was you I'd spend the cash on a DV cam with tape, you'll probably end up with better end product anyway but that's speculation on my part. -
They're fine if you realize you're getting what you pay for. They get pretty grainy under low light conditions, as do most cameras. Get a miniature tripod to keep them steady.

Are you aware of this forum exchange on the Aiptec?
So you plan to take a laptop on this trip or are you stocking up on SD cards? The speed of the SD media may be a factor.

Nice call, edDV. Check out the downloads someone posted. Yeah, the images are big, but not terribly sharp.
I like the Sanyos, although they are more $.

Aiptek is cheap, so you get what you pay for. Must have been attracted to the cheap price?

I bought and Aiptek A-HD camcorder last week in Miami for US$149 at BestBuy after reading several mixed reviews. I am an oldtimer at videoing, starting with cine movies in the late 1970s, working my way through Video-8, Hi-8, Digital-8, MicroMV etc to my current favourite Sony HD cam.
To say that the Aiptek is great would be a gross understatement. It is ultra-lightweight, video quality in HD mode is phenomenal, and Aiptek could show Sony etc a trick or two as the camcorder can be set to output to either NTSC or PAL, none of my Sony's have ever done this! I have read in reviews that the video quality is very poor in low light, however I haven't yet owned a camcorder that does shoot well in very low light.
The only downside of the Aiptek for me is the exceptionally terrible sound quality; the mic sounds like it came out a 1960s telephone.Steve in Dominican Republic
