We have made a DVD in encore that is simply one piece of video that endlessly loops from the end back to the begining. The loop works fine however usually just after the loop point there is a freeze for a few frames then the video plays fine. The loop point is a pure white frame. We can get rid of the glitch by making the white longer so you don't see the glitch.

So my question is how good should the loop function be and is its performance player dependant. Obviously at the end of the video clip the player has to jump instantly to somewhere else on the disc so there is always going to be a delay but is this a random thing depending on player? Would you expect the join to be perfect???

    Thanks

Can't be perfect as you've noted the player has to kick back to the start. Some players will react better than others. Oppo claims to have a buffer to help eliminate the lag you'll sometimes notice with DL discs as they switch layers.
