  1. As a temporary solution to problems I've been having
burning to VCD, I would like to record a DivX .avi onto VHS.
Is it just the same procedure as capturing VHS to PC?
And can it be done easily using TV Tuner card?

it depends on your tv out card.. I use a nvidia TNT2 ULTRA to put out, and its great on the tv, but when i record, its only in B&W. After some looking around and pissing people off with questions (thanx people) the nvidia chipset puts out more quality than most tv's/vhs recorders can handle. Its a strong boosted signal that distorts basically. (I got the whole report from a techo about it, this is the crude rundown on it.) Other chipsets are fine as far as i know. just plug it onto your vcr and get a picture showing, and press record. you can then record your desktop, mouse movements etc... hope i answered what you wanted.
    Damn TLA's, they confuse everyone.
