Yes, I understand MKV is a container format.
Yes, I know I can use mkvextract to extract the video and audio from a MKV and AVIMux it.
But...is there any simple tool that can 'convert' MKV to AVI file? Here's what I need:
1) I want to play the file on standalone DVD player (Divx support), such as Philips 5982.
2) I need at least three audio tracks in the AVI.
3) Preferrably, can join multiple MKV files into a single big AVI file.
The closest I can find is Dr.Divx. But this software is obviously an orphan and crash on some MKV files.
I've tried Riverpast, SUPRER, Movkit, etc. None of them support three audio track with 'one-click' conversion.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

No such tool (yet). If you want something easy either don't download mkv or get a media center with mkv support like the tvix or popcornhour or build a HTPC.
