This is off the topic, but after installing "ANY DVD" my Nero software reported WRITE ERRORS from both of my new Pioneer drives.

Removed ANY DVD and now burning is normal.

Nero has always been so buggy. Why not just use IMGBURN to burn your dvd discs? It's freeware! I don't use ANYDVD because I'm too cheap to pay for it so I rather use the freeware that's available.

Do I need to remove Nero in order to install and use ImgBurn ?

Will ImgBurn do everything Nero Ultra does ?
Depends on what you are doing with Nero Ultra. ImgBurn is a burning app. It will burn data discs and/or DVD's from movie sources (video_ts folders or images(ISO, bin/cue, etc)).

For music discs, you will still need Nero or a free program such as Prassi ONES.

If you are doing anything else with Nero Ultra, then you will want to keep it. Or better yet, get another program designed specifically for whatever you are doing. Nero is a handy all-in-one tool that doesn't do anything really well.

This is just a wonderful website and Forum. Awesome. When I refer friends to VideoHelp.com, they agree it's the more information-packed well-designed website on the Net.

    Thank you again.

A buddy of mine uses DVDFabHD and said it is great. But what's the diff between DVDFabHD and DVDFab Platinum ?

No, because there's a 21 day free trial on the DVDFabHD version. It's worth paying for, but where may I find out what PLATINUM adds ?

DVDFab HD Decrypter is free and will only rip the main movie or all the dvd to your hard drive.

DVDFab Platinum will rip, convert and burn to dvd plus convert to other formats.
