I am using Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 8.0 and Sony DVD Architect Studio 4.5, and I can't get any DVD that I burn to play on my DVD players. I have tried using different formats and resolutions, different types of DVDs and different brands and have come up with nothing. I was wondering what format is compatible with the most home DVD players and if there is anything else that I may be doing wrong. Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

If you are making a DVD to play on most players, then there is only one format and resolution. (With a few exceptions.
) Look to the upper left for 'WHAT IS' DVD.
If you follow those specifications, it should work. You say you have tried different media? Then that should rule media problems out, though some players may be very particular about media brands, some more than others.
The media, the burner and the player all need to be compatible to end up with a DVD that works.
If you use the proper format to create a compliant DVD file, then the problem would be with the media, the player, the burner or the burning program, usually in that order.
Of course, there's a bit more to it.
And welcome to our forums.
