I am trying to rip my DVD's into avi or someother format to put on a portable HD to display on a TV that still has the encoded CC so my TV Guardians can still read the CC and cut any words I don't want my kids to hear. Thanks, Dan PS sorry for the long run on sentence.

I don't think avi supports cc like that.

What about a smaller mp2 file?? Might lose too much compressing it though? Thanks, Dan
