subtitle for dvd?

i would like to know is it possible to copy the subtitle for a dvd movie as well? when i try to copy a dvd movie, it doesn't include the subtitle. what should i do?

Yes, use dvdshrink. How do you copy it now?

i used xilisoft converter to encode the dvd. however, it only capture the video only, not with the subs as well. before this, i just copy the file from the dvd.

Encode the dvd? Are you converting a DVD to another video format like avi? or do you just want to backup a dvd? or what are you doing?

actually i plan to copy the file from the dvd together with the subs and then convert the dvd format to vcd file.
