This worked for me using the latest version of DVDFAB,DVDShrink and CloneDVD.
1. Rip movie to hard drive using DVDFAB
2. Open DVDshrink . Instead of clicking 'open disk', click 'open file'.
3. Open the dvdfab file that you saved to your hard drive
4. Click 'Backup' and make sure you DISABLE video preview
5. Save the new backup to your desktop under a NEW name
6. Open 'CloneDVD' and click 'Write Existing Data'.
7. Click the NEW file on your desktop.
8. Burn and Voila
9. Hope this helps to those who were stuck like me.
Any question, PM me

Video Preview in Shrink should have no influence on the success or otherwise of the process.
What does CloneDVD add to the proceeding if Shrink has already processed (successfully) the file ?
I suspect that more than anything it was a matter of waiting for a suitable version of DVDFab Decrypter to be released.Read my blog here.

I tried using RipIt4Me and DVD Decrypter/DVD Shrink and it did everything fine (including analysis) and was burning the disk. However, I woke up this morning and it said the DVD burning/write failed.
Not sure what I did wrong? RipIt4Me was 1.7.1.0 and DVD Shrink was like 3.2. Is there a certain setting or thing I'm supposed to change? I pretty much followed what RipIt4Me told me to do...
I think I have an old version of CloneDVD and DVD Decrypter is probably old too. I don't have DVDFab but if that's free I guess I could download it. Not sure what I did wrong above though I think I had the video preview disabled as well. -
DVD Decrypter does not work on RATATOUILLE. It will attempt to rip the disc and then fail. DVDShrink has the same problem. AnyDVD will sucessfully rip the disc. Then use CloneDVD to burn.
Not sure if it was necessary but - used CloneDVD to create an ISO of the AnyDVD rip, the used CloneDVD to burn the ISO.
Using AnyDVD with DVD Decrypter does not work either. With AnyDVD running you will be able to rip with DVD Decrypter. However, when you go to burn the ISO (created with DVD Decrypter) with ImgBurn, ImgBurn will produce an error saying the layer break is missing. You can continue and burn the DVD. This was not tested since dual layer discs are pricey. Hence the AnyDVD to CloneDVD route.
Once a disc as been burned via AnyDVD to CloneDVD solution, DVD Decrypter can be used on that disc successfully. -

I just want to do it the easiest way and it seems like people are all using several different programs all with different levels of success. -
is there somewhere to download those programs? my versions are probably a year old. or are they not freeware?

You can download trial versions of the software from their site. I believe the trial period is 21 days.

I finally got it to work but the audio was to 2.0.
For what it's worth - I've had the best luck with DVDDecrypter up until Ratatouille .. hopefully that'll get updated.
(btw...this is my first post. This is a great forum!!) -

"I just got done copying it a little easier.
Used AnyDVD to rip it to my computer
Then used Shrink to work its magic(as usual)...done
Result - Perfect working copy"
What media did you use? I'm up to about 9 coffee coasters using about 5 different program combinations, and I'm starting to think it might be my media (Memorex, TDK, FujiFilm & Verbatim all 4.7Gb DVD - R). Some of the burns will play on my computer, but don't play on my home DVD player which is a first. I'm currently trying AnyDVD RIP/ CloneDVD2 Write. Maybe this will work. -
Nevermind, got it to work with AnyDvd/Clone2DVD combo. Thanks for all the info.

RATATOUILLE will rip with Ripit4me1710/DVDDecryptor/DVDShrink in movie only mode.

I can successfully rip this to my system fine, but DVD Shrink hates it without turning off the preview and DVD Rebuilder fails during the rebuild phase.
I've tried manually tweaking this in DVDRemake, but with little success.
Has anyone managed to build a full DVD re-encoded with DVD Rebuilder?
Even with the updated decrypters there's still something not quite right about these DVDs. -
Yeah yeah, it shrinks fine with the preview disabled, but they've intentionally corrupted the disc.
I'm curious if it can actually be fixed.
Anyone make a DVD5 with re-encoding software and not some Shrink type program?
