    Hi, my friend is trying to rip some of the sene from a DVD to avi format so he can edit it and use that in a presentation, he don't need any audio file to go with that. Any tutorial or suggestion for how to do that?

    hi,

    try DVD2AVI. select no sound in the audio option and save as avi.

    I have tried this, but cannot figure out how to get an avi that is playable, and editable in a NLE (I have MainActor and VideoStudio). Huffy codec does not seem to be useful for either.

    So, which codec ?? Ideally I would like the clips to be in a DV AVI, because all of my other clips are (Dazzle Hollywood Bridge).....
