I've downloaded several movies recently that specify Riyocodec and refer to this website:

    http://www.riyocodec.com/

This rings a million alarm bells for me and googling it suggests that it is malware.

    Does anyone have any information?

Thx for that info. Those guys need to be strung up.

Hech54, I see you must be a major enthusiast for DVD Decrypter.

I really do want the very best DVD ripper I can get and I've tried many. I have a big problem with DVD Decrypter though and I thought it might be worth mentioning it to you.

I once used Magic ISO/Magic Disk as a virtual DVD drive. Now I cannot select a source in DVD Decrypter except for "Magic Disk H:". This despite the fact that I uninstalled Magic Disk ages ago (I now use Daemon Tools), have uninstalled and reinstalled DVD Decrypter about four times since, run every registry and junk file cleaner I can find, manually deleted every relevant folder and torn my hair out again and again.

I've deleted my original DVD Decrypter download and downloaded a new one. The program is useless to me now because all it does is freeze my system (Core 2 Extreme 2.93 Mhz, 6GB RAM, 3TB disks) like nothing else ever does. In fact it usually means resorting to the power switch to get out of it.

    Any ideas?

DVD Decrypter isn't worth the effort. It's no longer updated and requires a secondary program to RIP new discs.

Try a current app such as DVDFab Decrypter.
