What do you mean by convert?

If you mean you have a series of files file.rar, file.r01....file.r99 then just open the .rar with winrar and it will automatically find and open all the rest - it will also report any missing parts as well.

If I'm misunderstood please rephrase your question.

If your looking to combine the rar files, one of these apps may help:

    WinRAR
    7-Zip
    IZarc

Remember, you have to have all the parts to extract the movie, if you're missing even one then the movie won't convert.

I am having a similar problem with all these rar files.

do i need to extract them into a specific directory like video_ts so they are able to create a dvd?

and what happens with the 63 unrecognised files that are in the same folder as all the rar files??

please reply to this someone as i'm completely lost and new to all this

    thank you

You should be able to extract the file / movie / .avi / .iso (whatever you've downloaded) to the location of your choice. Your 63 rar files will remain until you have deleted them. Delete them only after you are certain your file(s) have been extracted (reassembled) properly. Have you installed 7-Zip yet? Is it associated with the rar format file extention?
