"New" button in toolbar non-functional

In v2.5.3300 (don't know about earlier versions, since I just started using the program again, starting with 3100, in which I didn't try to use the feature), the NEW button does not clear the current job and open a new blank workspace at all. It seems to refresh the workspace (a bunch of flickering), but all the title sets and assets from the previous job are still in place.

Using Vista; have run SVCD2DVD as both User and Administrator.

Did some testing: Only happens when opening a saved project directly, by double-clicking on the project (.s2d) file to open the program. Project loads fine; clicking on "New" clears the workspace, and then the originally-opened project comes back again (reloads).
