I have versions 5 and 6. And for some reason when encoding avi files, when I set the audio compression to Mpeg Layer-3 the only options I get is 24000hz...
I have an older version (Version 3) that came with my capture card. I've been going back and forth uninstalling versions 6 and 3. Version 3 shows all the mpeg options up to 48000hz..What is the problem with the newer versions? any clues? Thanks....Adam

I've tried all the codecs you can think of...It's something to do with Power Director....
seems to be a limitation built into the software. i look at my version 6 and have only the same settings in avi and divx that you do.--

Power Director isn't mainstream but there are specific forums listed after google searchs.

I wonder why they would have limitations on the mpeg layer 3 settings?
it crashes for me if i select mp3 .
