  2. I too have had these same issues with FAVC. My first project using FAVC went swimmingly. The second one, following the same steps with the same settings, has been a disaster. I've tried it three times and at the end of the long process all I'm left with is 0kb files. Very sad as I was initially quite impressed with FAVC. My forays with DVDFlick left me with unsynchronised audio and video. The perils of open source I suppose.

Trying my hand with Freemake as it usually works a treat.

This is a really old thread, but for DVD Flick, there is a fix for the sync problem that may be worth trying here.

  4. I know the thread was started ages ago, though I had the same problem with FAVC creating empty folders after previously working OK. The reason in my case was because I moved the folder that FAVC had originally been extracted to after running the exe file. I moved it to a more convenient location, then the next time I used it I had the empty folders.

I simply re-ran the original file (FAVC_107_x64.exe in my case), where I wanted it, and then it began working properly again. There might have been another solution, but that was straightforward enough. It may simply have been that the background image from the DVD menu was not updated to the new location.

There are plenty of alternatives, though I like FAVC, the quality is good and I can pack 8 episodes onto a single DVD with a basic menu. I use other progs when I want to do more.

  5. I've started using ConvertXtoDVD for the projects I was using FAVC on now.

I don't recall changing anything that would have affected the operation of FAVC. It just simply stopped.
