Any suggestions? Need new host as my current one has become ridiculous. CPU usage is through the roof for no reason and there support staff is less than helpful to say the least. Here's an example:
And better yet:Mr. xxxxxxxxxxxx,
You can monitor your resource usage from your monitor tool in your
control panel. I've notice that you are exceeding your CPU time usage
and you mentioned that you haven't changed anything recently. The CPU
usage can't be explained only with a script issue it may be caused by
blogs, galleries etc. In this case will be wise to implement robots.txt
file in your hosting and by doing so prevent search engines crawlers to
go thru your pictures. If you have a lot of pictures or big pictures,
this could be the main reason for your CPU time over usage.Unfortunately
we can not go over and revise your page and how it is setup because this
will involve checking on the coding, the structure of the site and other
add ons such as forums, blogs or forms. This whole process will take time
and resources and unfortunately revising of the code is considered as
paid support.
Regards,
xxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxx

No shit sherlock, that was after asking specifically for the top ten scripts broken down by percentage.Dear customer,
We are writing you regarding TID 200817. Our administrators
explained that the reason for the abuse is in your php
scripts.
Sincerely Yours,
xxxxx xxxxxx
While on the subject anybody else running a forum and what's your CPU usage vs. your Sql queries? IO know this would be relative to the setup and CPU itself but currently I'm using up around 100% of the SQL limits but the CPU is up around 250%. As I mentioned in the email above the CPU was always lower than the SQL. It cannot possibly be the scripts themselves because I haven't made any changes and have even removed some CPU intensive features, even installed phpbb3 as last ditch effort which hasn't helped.
Just to add insult to injury they won't upgrade for just a month even if I lost the money paid for the additional 5 months, I pay yearly so I "have" to pay the entire 6 months left on my plan. WTF kind of bullshit is that? If I was on a monthly plan I could do that... goddamn thieves.
