Yes. The new experimental version of Virtualdub 1.7.X with the FLV plugin will open FLV.

    http://www.virtualdub.org/beta/VirtualDub-1.7.X-test5.zip
    http://www.moitah.net/misc/FLVInputDriver-0_3_0.zip

    other plugins...

    http://fcchandler.home.comcast.net/MPEG2.zip
    http://fcchandler.home.comcast.net/Plugins/WMV/
    http://www.tateu.net/software/dl.php?f=qtvd_bin

You can also use FLVExtract which will give you an AVI and MP3 file which you can also use Virtualdub 1.7.X to put the files together and edit. This is the best option to avoid sync issues.

Someone should make this a sticky so I don't have to keep posting these links.

    What version are you using?

The plugins were created for 1.7.X which is shown in the link above. It will work in 1.7.6 but I don't know if it will work in any older versions.

As above (VirtualDub + FLV input plugin) and... Avidemux or Movica (split & join).

The version that I posted is 1.7.X ( the X is for experimental ).

Download from the link that I posted.

Anything older than version 1.7.6 can not use the plugins and version 1.7.X is updated to fix bugs and to work better with these plugins.

    Yes, it's test version.
    But...

Why's it called 1.7.X? Because I don't know when it'll be released. So far, it looks like it'll be at least 1.7.8.

    Not exactly.
API plugins support added in 1.7.2 version.
Of course better use new viersion (fix bugs).
    Old 1.7 (before 1.7.6) = experimental
    1.7.6 = stable
    1.7.x = test (very experimental)

    BTW
VirtualDub and Avidemux not support variable frame rate (VFR) - possible desynchro A/V.

Or movica, avidemux. No reconverting is required but it may not work with all flvs.

Hmm... i'm check latest Movica with:
    - FLV with VFR,
    - FLV with FLV1 and VP6F video,
    - FLV with MP3, Nellymoser, PCM and ADPCM (SWF variant) audio.
    Works very good.

    Not exactly.
API plugins support added in 1.7.2 version.
I went back and looked at the filter thread on the Virtualdub forum and fccHandler started his input filters based on version 1.7.5.

Somehow I missed versions 1.7.4 and 1.7.5 when they were released (been using the 1.7.3_test releases) but I tried all of the input plugins in versions from 1.7.1 to 1.7.3_test5 and they did not work. They worked fine in 1.7.6 and 1.7.X_5.

    BTW
VirtualDub and Avidemux not support variable frame rate (VFR) - possible desynchro A/V.
Try FLVExtract to demux the video and audio. This worked for me on one file I tried.
fccHandler says he's fixed the VFR problem with the WMV plugin and from what I can tell, it has corrected the problem with most of my WMV files but there are still a few that will not sync and I have to use TMPGEnc to convert to MPEG.

    Little misunderstanding...

I'm not 'say' about exist or working plugins before release VD 1.7.4/1.7.5 - i'm say about input driver plugin API in VD.

Latest VD contain new input driver plugin API.
Well, of course actual plugins versions not working on old VD builds (crashed or not support).

    BTW

    Sometime worked, sometime not...
I'm have FLV sample files with VFR.
When use FLV Extract i'm see: Average FPS 24,67 and Estimated True FPS 29,97.
FLV Extract save AVI file with Average FPS 24,67 - after mux (and eventually recompress) in VD, desynchro A/V.
    Some other...
If i'm use FLV Extract (still i'm 'say' about same FLV file) and mux to MKV without timecodes - desynchro A/V.
But, if i'm use timecodes and mux to MKV - no problem with synchro (FPS is strange).
However, this MKV it's still VFR - VDM warning message - and of course desynchro A/V (when try change container to AVI or recompress).

If i'm use Avisynth script or FFmpeg - no problem with A/V synchro.

Of course, i'm 'say' about only certain FLV's.
