I have tried creating MPEG 4 clips and I'm told an "identifer" is missing. What are the steps to creat MPEG 4's correctly from a QT file? Thanks.

MPEG4 clips can be a lot of stuff, do you want a mp4 file for an ipod or something similiar?
    What tool(s) are you using?

And I'm moving you to our mac forum section.

    Did YouTube say that?
Does your file have a suffix, such as .mov/.avi/.mp4?

No ffmpegx says that. Original file is an .mov; attempting to convert to .mp4. Seems to encode, but then will not open saying the identifier is missing. But the .mp4 extension shows up on the new file.
