Here we go again... a problem with the AIW Radeon card but this messege goes to everyone... so even if you dont' have this card, please read.
What format to capture give the CPU SMALLEST amount of stress? Is it Uncompressed AVI or something else?
I can't even capture that with my card... I loose like 3 % right away and then it slowly increas the percentage when I capture with unkompressed AVI... I thougth this would be EASIEST for the CPU and RAM to do...
Using:
AMD ATHLON 1,4 ghz
ASUS motherboard
768 DDRAM
I have tried the huffuyf (spelling?) codec and that givces me loss too.. which makes me surpriced cause they claim to be Lossless codec..
the only thing I have'nt lost frame with is mpeg-1 at way high bitrate... like 10 mbps. But that does'nt really look good anyway... maybe becuase it's a VHS source I dont' know.
MY QUESTION!
Is'nt it easiet and less stressful for the CPU to canpture AVI than MPEG-1??? Then.. what's up with my settings... I always capture at VCD 2.0 sizes and framerates.
