Can anyone recommend a good easy software program for making DVD Photo Slideshows?

I am currently scanning old photos onto my computer but need a software program to put them onto DVD.

I am familiar with Picasa but not too sure how much you can do with this software. I like Simple Star PhotoShow because it makes a real nice photoshow with music etc but the problem is if you want a DVD you have to order it through them.

    Any ideas would be welcomed.

    I like PhotoDex Proshow.

But be sure to also backup the original images because a dvd slideshow is just in 720x470/576.

Is that Memories on TV software any good?

I was looking at that too.

What do you mean backup pictures? WHen you create a slideshow dont the pictures stay on your computer too besides going onto the DVD?

Yes the Photodex does look pretty good. Can I just buy the Standard version or do I need something more?

  8. Can anyone recommend a slideshow programme with fast processing.

I've used Magix which is a good piece of software but it took a good 2 hours to encode a slideshow with only 200 photos.

I'd like to make a business out of batch scanning photos and putting them in a simple slideshow, but at this rate I'd never make any money.

My plan is to include some video, and a lot more photos than just 200.

It needs to be a fraction of that time for 200 photos. I even followed the wizard and did nothing special.

I also tried DVD Slideshow GUI but that took even longer, and certainly wasn't as user friendly.

    Thanks

    James
